What is an HSA?
A Health Savings Account is a tax-advantaged medical savings account available to those who are enrolled in a High Deductible Health Plan. Funds that are deposited into your Health Savings account are not subject to taxes at the time of deposit. Funds can be deposited via a payroll deduction and then funds can be used on qualified medical expenses such as prescriptions, physician exams, radiology, pathology, as well as dental and vision expenses.
