John currently serves as a Senior Benefit Advisor at LHD. After spending two previous decades as a healthcare executive, John’s experience is largely shaped by the knowledge he gained sharing the room with Primary Care Physicians, Actuarial, Health Economists, Pharmacists, Hospital Executives and other National Healthcare Thought Leaders. This kaleidoscope of perspectives allows him to value-engineer high-performing benefit plans that drive a positive outcome for the experience of the member, provider, and the culture of the employer.
John has personally served on the Indiana State University Insurance & Risk Management Advisory Board, chaired the Central Indiana American Heart Association Physician and Executives with Heart Team, and was on the founding board of the Indiana Diversity Council.
Outside of the office, you’ll find John spending time with his wife, Alyson and 3 children. Both John and Alyson have a deep calling to give back and serve those with the greatest need in our community. They are involved in organizations such as Camp Allendale, Sheltering Wings (a domestic abuse shelter), and many other great organizations.
I’ve spent the last 12+ years building a team that led a local market health plan to significant growth and decided on joining LHD after seeing the hard work, savings, and health outcomes they provide their clients.
John joined the LHD team as a Senior Benefit Advisor.
John completed Stanford University’s Executive Development Program where he focused on a new health at home project for UHC Medicare Division.
