WELLNESS COORDINATOR & HEALTH COACHKara Mercer
Kara serves as a Wellness Coach and Health Coordinator for LHD client, Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance, and provides services and programs specific to their strategic goals, employee health risks and interests, and collaborates with internal and external resources to provide a comprehensive plan of care. She has worked in the health and wellness field for three years and has a strong passion for encouraging individuals to improve their health and wellness through the process of lifestyle change.
Kara graduated from The University of Southern Indiana with a degree in Nutrition & Wellness, with a minor in Strength & Conditioning.
Kara loves practicing with she preaches by being very involved in her CrossFit gym and her personal nutrition and health. In her spare time, she enjoys hanging out with her friends and being the “cool Aunt” to her niece! She also has a passion for boating and hiking, traveling, National Parks, and all things coffee.

Kara joined the LHD team in August as a Wellness Coordinator and Health Coach, where she helps set/achieve goals and provide valuable health/wellness advice to employees.
- 2020-2021
In her next role, Kara served as a Health and Wellness Coach for the Metropolitan School District (Wayne Township).
- 2018-2020
Kara began her career as a Health Coach / Screening Specialist for On Target Health.
- 2014-2018
Kara attended the University of Southern Indiana where she received a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition & Wellness, with a minor in Strength and Conditioning.
